From the 27th
of February to the 1st of March 2013, at “Istituto Veneto di Scienze
Lettere e Arti”, three study days will be devoted to the Venetian glass
production of the 17th century. They will deal with raw materials,
techniques, archaeometry, conservation and restoration. Among the professors,
the chemist Marco Verità and William Gudenrath of the Corning Museum of Glass.
Deadline for registration: 15th of December 2012.
This initiative
derives from the agreement called “Glass in Venice” and signed on the 22nd
of November between this Institution and “Fondazione Musei Civici” of Venice.
The
publication of a website on the Venetian and international glass production is also
in program.
