Analyses through 14C are among the proofs that the so called "Isleworth Mona Lisa", a painting on canvas portraying a younger woman than the original one, was painted by Leonardo da Vinci himself.
The analyses, carried out by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, resulted in a date between 1410 and 1455. It seems correct to remind that this date does not correspond to the moment when the canvas was painted, but to that in which the plants constituting it were cut and died! Notwithstanding, the fact that this date is anterior to Leonardo's death seems for some experts enough, together with studies made on the geometrical schemes employed by the artist, to attest the authenticity of this work of art.
